Trim Options

Nissan offers five different trim options for the 2023 Altima, starting with the base level S. The next level up, the SV, adds features like 17-inch alloy wheels and keyless entry. The SV can add a Premium package, giving the Altima a sunroof, heated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. The SR trim adds 19-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and sports suspension for enhanced performance.

The SL adds more technology to the Altima, including navigation and a 360-degree camera system. It also adds a nine-speaker Bose Premium sound system, fog lights, and leather seats. The top-tier trim is the SR VC-Turbo, giving the sedan a more powerful engine.

Performance

Drivers can choose between two different engines for the Altima. The first is the entry-level 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 182 horsepower. The optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine gives drivers access to 248 horsepower. Either of these options can be had with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Fuel Efficiency

The entry-level engine with front-wheel drive delivers an average of 28 miles to the gallon in the city and 39 on the highway. This is the most fuel-efficient configuration for the Altima, and it’s pretty impressive. This engine with all-wheel drive averages 26 miles to the gallon in the city and 36 miles to the gallon on the highway. The turbocharged engine comes in with 25 miles to the gallon in the city and 34 highway miles.

Spacious Interior

The Altima has a surprising amount of legroom for a sedan with 43.8 inches in the front row and 35.2 inches of legroom for your second-row passengers. You’ll have plenty of room for cargo with 15.9 cubic feet in the trunk.

Safety Assist Technology

The entry-level S comes with Nissan Safety Shield 360, a base package loaded with modern driver-assist technology. These features include a blind sport warning, automatic emergency braking, and a forward collision warning. You’ll love having the high beam assist take care of adjusting your lights for oncoming traffic for you.

Infotainment

Your entry-level Altima comes with a seven-inch touchscreen as standard. The SV upgrades this to an eight-inch touchscreen, but adding the Premium package can make this a 12.3-inch display. All three screens come standard with Bluetooth technology. The SV adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with the option to make these convenient technologies wireless.
